Support Feed the Need
We know that food security challenges are faced by so many people in our community. People in our community need our support. Our local food banks need support. So, our Games Organizing Committee has taken action to help. It’s part of our commitment to #sustainability and #inclusion.
There will be no cost for spectators at any events for our Durham Region 2023 Ontario Parasport Games. Instead, we’re asking everyone who can to bring donations for Feed the Need in Durham.

About Feed the Need in Durham (FTND)
Feed the Need in Durham is the regional food distribution hub for emergency food providers in Durham Region. We collect surplus and donated perishable and non-perishable food from food retailers, food manufacturers, food distributers and farmers to support 65 food relief organizations across the region. In addition, individuals, school groups, businesses, churches, and community groups generously hold food drives to help fill our shelves. We believe that food insecurity should not prevent anyone from fulfilling their potential or participating fully in the life of our community. It is our mandate to work with our member agencies to alleviate hunger by providing fresh, frozen, and non-perishable food to those who need it most in our community.
